Carry the same passport used for the application, the grant notice, return or onward ticket and the first accommodation or package-tour confirmation. Be ready to explain the route in one or two clear sentences.
Visa approval is permission to travel and present yourself for entry clearance, not a guarantee that the border interview disappears. Tanzania Immigration may review the passport, visa, purpose, return journey and evidence of funds. A tourist whose application describes a Zanzibar resort should be able to identify that resort; a safari traveller should know the operator or first lodge.
Keep records available offline. Mobile data may not be active when the traveller reaches the desk, and a booking buried in an Italian-language agency app can take time to retrieve. A PDF folder containing the grant notice, flight, voucher, first address and emergency contact is a practical solution. A printed backup is sensible for the most important items.
Answers should remain truthful and consistent with the application. If the itinerary changed after approval, carry the revised evidence and explain the change directly. Do not invent a host, hide a business purpose or describe work as tourism. Entry officers assess the real trip, not only the label selected online.
